The
raremaleslashex stories went live last Monday and author reveals were today.
I received a lovely Mugen/Jin story:
A Break in the Storm (5426 words) by
LuciferxDamienFandom: Samurai ChamplooRating: Explicit
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Jin/Mugen (Samurai Champloo)
Additional Tags: Anal Sex, Angst, Hurt/Comfort, Mutual Pining, Requited Affection, Blood, Canon-Typical Violence, Bathing, Comfort Sex, Rough Sex, Multiple Orgasms, Multiple Sex Positions
Summary: An ambush leaves Jin more distressed and affected than usual. At least Mugen is there to comfort him, in his own way.
As an aside, this might the first time I've ever (correctly) guessed my author. I really need to re-watch this series. It's soooooooo good.
And then I wrote:
Life in the After (3924 words) by
TangerineFandom: In the Flesh (TV)Rating: Mature
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Gary Kendal/Kieren Walker
Additional Tags: On the Run, First Time, Canon-Typical Behavior, Post-Canon, Love/Hate, Antagonism
Summary: Kieren and Gary, on the run. When PDS sufferers target Kieren in an attempt to bring about the Second Rising, Gary does his best to make sure that doesn't happen.
I had been meaning to re-watch
In the Flesh because it is completely amazing, and then this fandom showed up in the tagset, and yes. This makes the third media fandom I've ever written for. Exciting. Also, if you have never seen this show, it's great, I love it so much.
And then I picked up this pinch hit after assignments went out:
The Michigan Road Trip (3924 words) by
TangerineFandom: X-Men (Comicverse)Rating: Mature
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Julio Richter/Shatterstar
Additional Tags: Road Trips, Hurt/Comfort, Pining, Post-Canon, Shatterstar (2018) - Freeform, Angst with a Happy Ending
Summary: In the aftermath of the events on Horus IV, Shatterstar and Rictor road trip to Michigan.
Because I took one look at the prompts and my heart sang for a road trip fic. Not entirely coincidentally, the word count for this story is the exact same as the world count for my original assignment. It just worked out that both drafts were within 5 words of each other.
And then I picked up this pinch hit after the default deadline:
The Hank is Awesome Treatise (3969 words) by
TangerineFandom: X-Men (Comicverse)Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Bobby Drake/Hank McCoy
Additional Tags: Best Friends, Friends to Lovers, Pining, Comedy of Errors, X-Factor (1986) - Freeform
Summary: Iceman does his very best to make sure the Beast knows just how awesome he is.
I had been re-reading early X-Factor (as one does) when this pinch hit came through. And I just... got the idea, and then I ran with it because by that point I had already written 28k words in a week and 4k more just felt like a natural extension. Also, the word count is fun.
