tangerinerTHE WASHINGTON CAPITALS WON THE STANLEY CUP!! I remarked to nafs that this is the first time a team I have actually wanted to win the cup won it, and that it feels AMAZING. I was committed to the reverse-jinx, so I didn't enjoy the process as much as I could have, BUT OVI! BACKY! There is no purer love on this planet than the love between Ovechkin and Backstrom imo.

MARVEL DID YOU JUST KILL RICTOR DURING PRIDE MONTH??? FUCK. I mean, it's clearly not going to stick (though he is definitely dead). BUT FUCK. Occasionally people comment how lucky it is that my ship went canon, and while in theory, it sounds great, but the problem is Marvel is going to Marvel, and it just means they get equally dicked around (not in the good way) when it comes to happily every after and what not. Not that Rictor has ever gotten anything close to that.
UGGGHHHH, and I don't think I can write the Marvel Bang story I wanted until I know exactly what happens in the rest of this mini. It's too important (for me, as the writer, due to a Thing That Happens In My Story) to know what's going on, and the ending of DS overlaps with the due date for the first draft of my Marvel Bang.
I am dedicating this weekend to 1) catching up with the My Hero Academia manga (done -- I read 80 chapters last night) 2) reviewing the canon for my![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png)
raremaleslashex story (which I am honestly delighted to write) and 3) re-reading the Phoenix Saga and the Dark Phoenix Saga because I said I would do the blurb for book-club this week on the Earth 616 discord (a classic!).
And also, I wrote a thing, for a friend, who really got me thinking about demon!Ric (who does not, for the record, exist, but maybe should? would be so handsome? would be totally great?).
