tangerine's dream

yuletide tag set is live. I nominated various characters from X-Factor (Comics), Draft Day (2014) and Lisa Kleypas's Wallflower Quartet. The latter almost broke me -- there's 8 characters, and I had to pick favourites and could only nom 4 of them -- but someone else nominated the other four. I'm just so happy.

There is a date for my marvel_bang story, and it's October 17th. Nerrrrrvous.

Tomorrow, the first issue of Shatterstar drops. I am so beyond stressed out. It could really go either way, and I don't know, and I think I have some residual trust issues from the Deadpool 2 fiasco. I mean, the art looks good, so that's something, but. I guess we'll see. (Iamnotready).

I wrote nothing for five weeks after finishing my Marvel Bang, but I managed to start a new story a few days ago, so I am glad that's back. Still haven't touched either bingo card, but someday.

T-minus 3 days until I see Deadpool 2. I am thoroughly spoiled, because I am emotionally invested in you-know-who (seriously look at this handsome bastard), but I can't wait!

Also! Because when I get back into comics they take over my life, I ended up as one of the mods of the new 18+ Earth-616 Discord server. If anyone likes Marvel comics and/or is even the slightest bit interested in Discord as a fandom platform, I'd encourage you to join. It's a lot of fun! Literally, the entire Marvel comics universe is covered by it, including shippy things. And there's a book club! We're currently reading Marvels!

Speaking of comics, I spend way too much money every month on them. My current pull list:

... okay, when written out, that doesn't seem like too much. Can I blame the exchange rate? I'm also addicted to minis. So the awesome Rogue & Gambit just finished, but Multiple Man starts soon! I'm debating Quicksilver, and I will definitely pick up the Dazzler one-shot. Aaaaand, I just got the full run of All New X-Factor and US Avengers in the mail. So, um, yay comics? I'm so sucked back in, haha.

I also finished my fandom5k story (aaahhh, nervous) and have decided to do marvel_bang as well. I also managed to figure out which story was fic-blocking me. It turned out to be the companion story to Exit Music. Which is going ... okay. Hard but okay. It's so serious, but I guess sometimes that is the route my brain wants. Also, Shatterstar POV is always weird by default, so extra layer of complication.
