I was super proud of myself for leaving the house on Sunday (traditionally pajama lazy day) and doing the most boring adult thing ever (buying more hanging folders for my filing cabinet) then realised, shortly thereafter, I had bought the wrong size. Noooooooo. I am bad at adulthood.

Otherwise, spent weekend, well. I'm not placing the blame on anyone (cough[livejournal.com profile] dinecough), but if I were to blame someone ([livejournal.com profile] dine) for what I spent my weekend doing, I would blame someone nameless ([livejournal.com profile] dine) so she ([livejournal.com profile] dine) wouldn't know my depths of my suffering and feel bad. Because I totally read all the Sidney Crosby/Evgeni Malkin stories on AO3 ([livejournal.com profile] dine!!!), and liked them. Still super dislike Sidney Crosby (but I hated Justin Timberlake through my entire NSYNC writing period so that's never stopped me from enjoying a fandom), but Geno is pretty neat! There have been a few times when I've been a little O.o when someone clearly not Canadian tries to write a Canadian thing, but I've been butchering American cultural references since 1996 so I don't take such things personally!! Also, I wish people (read: hockey players) would respect their teeth a little more, because once they're gone, that's it, guys!!!

[livejournal.com profile] dine WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME???

I've also decided to reread the entire run of X-Force (1991) because I clearly hate myself. I'm trying to pinpoint the thing that drives me the most crazy about Rob Liefield's artwork, and I think it might be the excessive crosshatching. I mean, the proportions are terrible, and there are a lot of puckered lips, and waaaaay too many pouches, but I think it's the excessive crosshatching that pushes me over the edge.

Oh well, at least [livejournal.com profile] yuletide is signed up for.
