Hi! Thank you for writing for me in Yuletide. I am super excited to receive a story from you! I've included prompts, but please feel free to ignore them if something else sparks your imagination.
Some things I particularly like: happy endings, gratuitous nudity, sexy stuff (explicit or implied), first times, pining, gazing, bathing, casual swearing, long hair, friendship, romance, and tropes.
Tropes I love (in no particular order): hurt/comfort, snowed in, locked in, huddle for warmth, fake relationships, friends to lovers, first times, coming of age, fuck or die (provided other partner is 100% willing to help out and nobody regrets anything too much/at the end), love serum/potion (ditto), handcuffed together, pining (with eventual payoff), truth or dare, hurt/comfort, fix its, bodyswap, fake dating, sharing a bed -- tbh, basically all of them, not gonna lie.
I do prefer canon or canon-divergent settings more than pure AUs, but it's not a strong preference, and I don't have any AU settings I don't like. For writing, I do prefer third person a little more strongly, present or past. Any rating is fine, up to and including explicit. Plot or PWP or somewhere in between -- all is good! Any length is also good!
DNWs: non-con/dub-con, cheating, A/B/O, gender/sexswap, unrelenting darkfic (angst is fine), deathfic, unhappy endings, underage smut (under 18), mpreg, incest, and power imbalances between the characters (i.e. teacher/student, boss/employee, D/s AUs, etc.).
I am open to treats and would welcome any for my requests.
Side notes:
- I'm not particularly picky about the (inconsistent) romanization of names: I tend to go with whatever the subtitles used, which isn't always what AO3 or MDL uses. Pick whichever ones you feel comfortable writing in.
- Why yes, Earth Pirapat is my bias, but please don't feel pressured by that. My love is vast for all.
- I basically love all of the source material unequivocally, and I'm very much all MOAR about each of them. Why not 100 episodes, GMMTV and whichever company made Blueming??? How dare.
- The beach prompts below are sorta tongue-in-cheek, though I have to admit my reaction is always "hell yeah the beach" whenever a BL ends up there.
My requests:
Moonlight Chicken - Jim, Wen
My gift must feature all of my chosen character tags (if 0: any from tag set)
Roughly 2-3 years ago, a friend of mine was all, you should check out Thai BLs, and I was all, yes, I will get to it. And I did get to it, shortly before Moonlight Chicken was released, with The Eclipse. Which I liked well enough, but it did nothing to prepare me for how much Moonlight Chicken would consume my life. The Jim/Wen story line was relatable af. I love how drawn they are together. I love Wen's tenacity in sticking with it, and Jim's eventual thawing towards his own feelings. I just want them to be happy!
Prompts:
- Beach trip? I realize they did go to the beach, but there is never enough beach, imo, and Jim needs a vacay somewhere.
- Maybe they move in together? Or at the very least, Jim gets a new comfy bed.
- Maybe one of them gets sick (possibly due to rain storm, lol) and needs to tend to the other.
Mama Gogo - Kampan, Gayu, Yuth, Moodang
My gift must feature all of my chosen character tags; or it may use exceptions I explain in the form
Exception tag explanation: if you write all four, I'm open to the gamut, from gen to 4-person polycule. If you go the romance route, I'm also totally okay with pairings. I've contemplated Kampan/Gayu, Kampan/Moodang and Yuth/Moodang, but I am legit up for receiving any combination, including two pairs. The only combination I don't want is 3 romantically, where one requested dude is left out. Other than that, please mix and match as you please. If you go the gen route, a focus on one of the requested characters is a-okay, no preference.
I pretty much only watched Mama Gogo because I had committed to watching everything Earth had ever been in. My expectations were low going in, but I LOVED IT. Holy smokes. What a show. It hit every button I had. I LOVE a ragtag group of people banding together and forming friendships as they work towards a common goal. I love the backstories, the humour, every character, the interactions between said characters. Amaze.
Also as a side note: I loved Annie and Chen's romance arc, and I would very much prefer them to stay together.
Prompts:
- If you go the romance route, maybe a little getting together story (at the beach?) and how it impacts the broader dynamics of the group
- Maybe someone gets a workplace injury and they need tending to
- How does Kampan fit into the group? I wish we had more time for that in the show, as he is very... Kampan.
A Tale of Thousand Stars - Phupha, Tian
My gift must feature all of my chosen character tags (if 0: any from tag set)
Ahhh, what a good show. And then all the goodness Our Sky 2 added onto the story, ahhh. This was recommended to me by the aforementioned friend because I love a good stoic protagonist whose icy facade breaks a little whenever the other protagonist is around. I love how these guys have to work to fit into each other lives, and how all that work pays off. The poignant looks, the playful banter, the taking care of each other. Just great.
Prompts:
- I love instances where Phupha feels uncomfortable and out of place, but he sucks it up, cuz Tian.
- Night before the wedding? night after the wedding? honeymoon at the beach maybe?
- Maybe Phupha gets into some predicament, and Tian has to save him or tend to him or whatever.
Blueming - Siwon, Daun
My gift must feature all of my chosen character tags (if 0: any from tag set)
This show was kind of a slow build for me. I watched it, liked it, moved on, watched this vid on YouTube, rewatched it, LOVED IT. I like how they're both imperfect, occasionally difficult people. I love how their friends saw what was happening and just kinda... stood back and let it happen on its own because it felt inevitable. Episode 10 was very stressful for me, just saying. Korean BLs in particular can be so short, and I wanted mooooooar.
Prompts:
- Something from Daun's POV? At any point in the story.
- Maybe some future fic where they live together and figure out their futures together (and go back to the beach?).
- All the family stuff was interesting to me -- I was unsure how much everyone knew about them being together.
