Sunday Six

tangerinerMy second marvel big bang goes live on Wednesday (!), so instead, I'll do six lines from my reverse marvel big bang, which is an Age of Apocalypse (!!) canon-divergent AU. It's also not a pairing I have written before or a POV I've written before (!!!).
The rain started in the evening. The sky opened with a flash of light followed by the boom of thunder. Scott sat by the window, staring out at it, the scene lacking the depth it would have had with full vision. The phantom of his left eye ached sometimes – real or imagined – whenever the weather turned sour.
In the hallway, he could hear Alex and the Bedlam brothers. He made no move until they were gone.
