Escapade, Discovery, Library

We're almost in February which means Escapade! I got a mystifying email from Air Canada, telling me my flight itinerary had changed, but they legit gave no indication what had changed. So after several minutes of puzzling, I realized I had been bumped off the final leg of my journey and onto a later flight. (Flight plan is basically home>Toronto>LA then LA>Montreal>Home). I, too, had doubts my flight out of LAX would leave on time, so probably for the best.

I'm really digging this season of Discovery so far. Tilly remains the Most Awesome Ever. And Michael, I love Michael so much. I def watch this show with shipper goggles on, which is fun for me. I always like First Contact-themed episodes, so this one hit the spot nicely. I, like many others, can take or leave the Spock side-plot. But gimme more of the characters doing space shit, ideally with each other, and I'll continue to be happy.

Despite the copious amount of snow that has fallen in recent days, I made it to the library and picked up all my holds. Which was basically many volumes of Ms. Marvel and Fruits Basket. All hardcover, because the library hates my arms that have the strength of noodles.

Escapade!!! (does happy dance) I so can't wait for this. It will be fun to put names to the faces of people I have met over the last year on line.

Ah Fruits Basket, it's been quite awhile since I have looked at that series. I should dig it back out and give it another read. That and 'Hana-Kimi' are kind of go to reads for me.

::dances with you:: Me neither! I'm hoping, since it's my second year, I might actually speak to people. Haha. Probably not, but MAYBE. I'm currently trying to decide which geeky and/or shippy shirts I want to wear.

It's my first time reading it! I am excited. Also, new anime coming out, so this is a good time for a read/re-read. And I'm not familiar at all with Hana-Kimi. Just reading the synopsis, it sounds right up my alley.

Picking the right fan-ish shirts is a very important part of packing for any convention. Just about every year I have gone to Escapade I have had airport staff comment on my fandom shirts. Last year it was Stargate Atlantis and the time before it was my Kakashi (Naruto) shirt.

I didn't know that Fruits Basket was releasing a new anime. (squee!) Oh my God I can't wait. I loved the first anime, but it only covered about the first six volumes or so out of twenty-three. Lots of stuff it didn't cover. Maybe I'll wear one of my Fruits Basket t-shirts this year.

The last time I flew, one of the security guys recognized my Shatterstar t-shirt. Amazing. It's a fun little thrill.

My goal is to read all 23 volumes before it starts. I am ready to do this! :arm flex emoji:

That is an excellent goal! I approve. I like this series because of the unusual plot twists and the large cast of characters.

My tower of holds is intimidating (8 vols of Fruits Basket, 5 of Ms. Marvel), but I am determined and excited!
