Okay, where have I been for four years: nowhere. I've been lurking, and commenting occasionally, and not particularly fannish, and getting my soul systematically destroyed by hockey. But I am determined to end that now. Especially that latter thing, because no thanks, I like my fannish behaviour to be a reward instead of a punishment.

(I am still a Senators fan, no doubt, but I am trying to scale back my love to levels of normal cynical sports fan, because my soul).

kerithwyn totes talked me into Escapade (caveat: it did not take much). So I am going to that in February. That'll be fun!

Yuletide is actually going quite well. Better than I expected. The match was close enough that I felt I could actually write something my recipient would actually like, and far enough that I had to take notes while reviewing the canon. I was a little concerned I forgot how to write, but no.

That said, to warm up, I did manage to fulfill one square on my Trope Bingo card (so far):

What I am totally into right now:

The Gifted. How awesome is this show? I am a few episodes behind, and fandom has given me trust issues, but up to episode 4 was definitely amazing!

McCree/Hanzo. I don't play Overwatch. Too prone to motion sickness. I don't even particularly like Blizzard, but the stories are good and plentiful and mega tropey. And hey, I'm actually the same age as the characters, which is bananas and new for me. I ignore everything outside the fic.

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. This game is the best putter around game I have right now. I may or may not refer to all of my characters as my precious baes.

Things I have finally done that I've put off for ten years: add some more of my popslash to Ao3.

Movie I saw on the weekend that I really enjoy: Thor. V good. Recommend. A++

great to see you pop up here! I bet you'll have a wonderful time at Escapade - I thoroughly enjoyed the years I was able to attend (too damn bad my job hasn't made that possible for far too long).

I am pretty pumped. I think I spend a full day total at airports getting there and back, but that's why they invented fic!
