Apr. 5th, 2018 06:34 pmThere is legit nothing harder than starting a story. I'm currently having a stare-down with my Fork in the Road story. I have a title ... and that's it. The title is v good. Really gets the point of the whole story across. The blank pages that follow, less so, but ... eventually, words.
I'm staring at
fandom5k sign-ups with some level of trepidation, because so far it looks like I only match on one offer (!) and while I would be v excited to match on it, I'm also a little intimidated. But nevertheless, I am not cancelling my sign up in terror of the unknown!
Because I need noise in the background to write, and music does that for me, occasionally I end up with the same song on repeat for a specific scene, and then forever more, if I hear that song, that scenes comes back to me and it is a visceral, powerful feeling. Sights by London Grammar is probably my best example of this -- it takes me right back to the shower scene in Smile. Feels. So many feels.
Also, I cannot get over Rictor with his v-neck tee-shirt and his sunglasses holding his hair back. A+++ Adam Gorham for the art. Had to make an icon.
