My new favourite Canadian Olympian is definitely Ted-Jan Bloemen, who I knew nothing about, except that he was so angry to get silver in the 5000 m and I couldn't place his accent. He was actually born in the Netherlands (which actually explained everything) to a dad who was born in New Brunswick and then he won the 10000 m and cried like a baby, and yup. I love the Olympics.

Except when Canada goes 0-3 in Women's Curling. I am mega disappointed. In the dark days of no investment in Canadian sports, and therefore no medals at the Olympics, curling was one of the few things I could count on besides hockey (obviously). Maybe Team Homan can turn it around? :/

Plans this weekend:
- Write. Turns out I wanted to write something melancholy, not happy, so I have remembered how to string together a sentence again.
- Hockey game. Rangers at Senators. If my shitty team can stop winning and ruining their draft position, I would appreciate it.
- Black Panther. I frigging love Chadwick Boseman (I watch Draft Day at least once a month entirely for him), so I am all over this movie.
- Olympics. Watch all the things.
- Pack? I am firmly entrenched in my cold-forever-warmth-never February head-space, so I had to stop myself from daydreaming about the fun sweaters I would wear to Escapade.

I posted my two earliest chaptered fics to Ao3, written between 1996 and 1998. They clock in at 50k words each, and between 20 and 23 chapters. Fond memories of writing them, getting into fandom and just being so into something, but lord, can you tell how young I was. Eeesh. But man, do I still love Angel/Psylocke. My tastes never change; my heart just makes room for more OTPs.

I think next on the plate will be getting the Book of Secrets back online. Its basically my only story that has it's own fanlore entry, but I really have to check how it's aged.

I nominated some fandoms for smutswap, so I will probably sign up for it.
