tangerinerDipped my toe into the various X-Comics, mostly to test the temperature and see where all my favs shook out. Have now read the first few issues of Iceman, plus Uncanny X-Men #600 (for context), with various other titles lined up. I still hate Scott Summers, but the idea of two Warren Worthingtons is intriguing. I still have no idea what is going on, but maybe someday.
I also re-read X-Factor (vol. 3), most of X-Force (vol. 1) and the last twenty issues of the New Mutants (vol. 1). Oh, and a chunk of Uncanny X-Force.
This all stemmed from a couple promo panels from some Jean Grey series coming up, in which Shatterstar appears (and one can hope where there is Shatterstar, there is Rictor). It boggles the mind that these two characters go into limbo (the general concept, not the Marvel Comics location) for years at a time. They're both so interesting. Instead, there is so much Cyclops. :(
Went for a wander on Ao3 today to come up with something new to read, and found myself in the From Eroica With Love tag. I am a sucker for the fake marriage trope, so I really enjoyed Hesitation Waltz by cranialaccessory.
The Senators may never win again. I have accepted that into my heart and will learn to love again someday. That's fine. Everything is fine. :|
The great mystery: why my one Samurai Champloo fic has so many kudos and continues to generate kudos at a steady pace. It is a great series, no doubt, but the stats for this fic are weird. (Comparatively of course -- I basically only write in tiny fandoms these days, intentionally).
