tangerinerFandom drama in McHanzo land. I'm old enough to realize fandom drama is cyclical, and nothing is really new. Back in the day, I would get wound up as fuck. Glad that time is over with.
Things I am doing:
1. Intentionally working on a WIP, mostly to see if I still can. I 100% have confidence I can finish the story, so I'm not worried about that. I'm really enjoying the Rictor-voice in this particular story. The older I get, the more I appreciate Julio Richter as a character. (Also, finally read the issue of Secret Warriors where the boys show up with their mustaches, A++).
2. Continuing to add my old stuff to Ao3. For some reason, I was pretty sure I had added all my ricstar stuff, like, years ago, but I am probably missing 50% of the stories. I can't remember why I didn't add these. Laziness? Forgetfulness? All of the above? I was sure I had written more than I had up on Ao3 (the number has always seemed small to me), but I didn't how much I was missing.
The Senators continue to hurt my feelings whenever I am there to watch them. Why can you not win when I am looking? I am beginning to develop a complex. :(
Finished all the Star Trek Discovery available. I can see why some people don't feel it's very Star Trek-y, but I liked it a lot. Great characters, good atmosphere, interesting story.
I also finished Mindhunter. Also liked it a lot. (I've been sick as a dog, so I got a lot of TV watching done).
