Snowflake Challenge: Day Thirteen

In your own space, ask for recs. Something as simple as "I like XYZ (where XYZ is a kink, a pairing, a trope, etc) - please rec me some." Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

Preface: I come from the land of tiny fandoms. If I manage to get, like, 200 hits on a story in the first six months, I am very impressed with myself. I see these other fandoms, with, like, 40,000 hits on a single story (AHHHH) and, like, 8000 stories for one pairing (AHHHH), and I get overwhelmed and I don't know where to start, and AHHHH.

So, recs. I REALLY want to read Derek/Stiles stories from Teen Wolf, because I too have hopped on that particular bus, but have zero idea where to start. I read that amnesia one where they assume they are together, do sexy things, and stay in motels, and it was very good, but I want more. Things I like: first times, longfic, humour. So, please, I would totally love some recs.

tldr: Please rec me Derek/Stiles stories because I honestly don't know where to start.

Might I suggest the Teen Wolf tag over at the fancake rec comm as a starting point? Plenty of Derek/Stiles fics. That's how I got sucked in (and I haven't even seen the show yet) but it's not so many recs that you'll be overwhelmed right away!

I've not read many Derek/Stiles fics, but I recommend this one by Spaghettitoes: Like a Karate-Kid Jedi-Mind-Trick Sex-Master Thing
I love how she writes Stiles.

My absolute favorite Teen Wolf story is Muérdago by starbolin. The emotions are more subtle than in a lot of popular fanfic, but that's something I love a lot. While the sex happens pretty quickly, the relationship/feelings is a great slow build and the characters are nicely three-dimensional.

My Teen Wolf pinboard tag is here, too. I bookmark (nearly) everything I read, so you probably want to narrow your choices down by the number of ★ (technical: SPAG, plotting, etc.) and ♥ (the FEELS I get from it). I also track story length, so you can filter for things on the longer end.

ETA: Oh! And I have a myrecs tag, but sometimes I forget to add that when I'm tagging, so there are probably some things there that I would rec, only I forgot.
