I'm hoping 2022 will be better.

I got my marvel_bang draft and summary submitted to the mods. The first draft clocked in at over 50k words, 100% written. I still need to fix up the timeline a bit (Marvel kept moving the frigging goalposts with too much new, interesting canon), go through it all to add a bit more detail/trim down my love of adverbs and find a beta reader, but I think I'm on schedule?

I'm interested to see how the artist claiming shakes out. My summary is a bit of a trip -- the plot summary makes it sounds fluffy as hell (which is true) but it also isn't the type of story where I could ignore (and therefore not warn for) two very traumatic and dark back stories.

November solicits came out today. Very excited about Uncanny X-Men 1-3 and Shatterstar 2, among others. My wallet is less excited because the Canadian exchange rate is just brutal right now. I'm sure it's always brutal, but I didn't collect floppies for ages. Sticker shock, I guess.

Also, as an Angel/Iceman shipper, the Astonishing X-Men Annual has infested my brain with bunnies.

Also again, I made a new icon, because who can resist Rictor unconscious in Shatterstar's arms?
