-- when I saw this premiere at Escapade, my heart did that YES thing is does when I instantly love something. I instantly loved this. The song choice is spectacular and perfect for the vid. I still have barely watched any of this show, but the fanworks, man. The fanworks.

-- in usual decade-behind-everything style, it occurred to me I might really like to read some Losers fic, particularly Cougar/Jenson, and applied my usual AO3 filters and this was one of the fics that tumbled out. I LOVE the telepathy trope, and I really super enjoyed this use of it.

I cannot do this. I tried, but my brain just does not work this way. All my comic favs never look the same way twice, and I'm used to that by now. For all my manga favs, that's just what they look like, and I cannot even picture them as 3-D, fleshy humans. For all my anime or cartoon favs, I'm not even sure I would really notice if their voice actors changed (though if Kazuya Nakai -- aka Mugen's voice actor -- could voice everyone, that would be great). I guess the closest I have ever come is imagining a young Gael García Bernal (circa Y tu mamá también) as Rictor, waaay back in the day. But as he (and I) have continued to age and Rictor has not, that connection in my brain has eased.
