In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your wish-list if you feel comfortable doing so. Maybe someone will grant a wish. Check out other people's posts. Maybe you will grant a wish. If any wishes are granted, we'd love it if you link them to this post.
1. Recs for tropey, longish, first time/getting together fics, any fandom, any pairing. These are my lifeblood. And by tropey, I mean tropey. Bed sharing, snowed in, pretend relationship, bodyswap... I love tropes unabashedly.
2. Icons, of any of my fandoms. I'm still only using 30/100 icons, because a) I am the slowest ever at making icons and b) my skillz with GIMP are extremely basic. My interests in my profile are pretty up-to-date.
3. Related to 2, an easy to follow GIMP tutorial. Or a suggestion for an easier to use (open source) program. I can crop things and use some combination of wizardry and random tools to remove dialogue bubbles, but that's the extent of my knowledge.

Both of these were written before I started writing smut and was trying to keep everything canon compliant, so the first story is more a romantic set up for something that might happen later and the second is just the kind of flirting they actually did on the show.

Date: 2019-01-07 03:29 am (UTC)Crazy But It's True- Fandom is TF2, pairing is Sniper/Spy, ten chapters of enemies-to-friends-to-lovers, with a relationship mostly revolving around trading books.
Cat's In The Cradle- Fandom is Hotel Artemis, main pairing is Acapulco/Crosby, but it's a canon divergent thing that starts about twenty years before the film. This one is unfinished and currently on hiatus while I hammer out how to connect the two halves that are already written, so fair warning on the WIP status. Has a less serious enemies-to-lovers thing, a lot of sneaking around, poolside flirting via sunscreen application and popsicle consumption... but also it's got a lot of dark stuff. Very much not-for-everyone but I figured I'd look through all my getting together type fics. Plus it's so removed from needing to know the canon.
Dream Man Also currently a WIP (was taking a break while doing exchange works, but it's one of my active things)- Fandom is 'Transylvania 6-5000', pairing is Jack/Gil. It's a very goofy movie with very goofy characters, and somehow it inspired this. Tropes are: Some elements of soul-bonding, psychic connection/dream-sharing, friends-to-lovers, They Were Roomates, There's Only One Bed... a lot of excuses to touch, a few misunderstandings... This is my tropiest fic ever, honestly, and I'll be getting back to it once I've finished some exchange fics. One of the things that takes the least knowledge of canon honestly.
Will Wonders Never Cease- Fandom is Pacific Rim, pairing is Newmann. Friends-to-Enemies-to-Lovers-ish (though we meet them in the enemies stage of the progression), online pen pals not knowing they know each other IRL/Shop Around the Corner plot. Pretty light BDSM element.
Give Me The News- The series I'm currently working on, fandom is St. Elsewhere, eventual pairing is Victor/Jack, a slow burn so slow the first nine ficlets in the series are gen. There's some hurt/comfort (and more coming), pre-relationship domestic fluff... the only bed shared so far is a bunk bed, so there's no cuddling. There is an accident with a pair of handcuffs and a lot of flirting.
