About Me
I've been involved in fandom, off and on, since 1996. I started in X-Men Comicverse, switched over to popslash and wrote under the name Rhys, then dabbled briefly in Dead Zone (TV) before coming back to X-Men Comicverse, focussing primarily on X-Factor (Vol 3.) and X-Force (Vol. 1). I also pick up random anime fandoms along the way. What can I say? I love my 2-dimensional, non-fleshy fandoms.
Current Fannish Interests
I'm currently reading: all of the main Dawn of X titles. I occasionally half-assedly review titles, and normally just rage at Marvel for killing/maiming/breaking up my favourite characters or squee about sweet character moments. I also keep up with the manga for Yona of the Dawn and My Hero Academia.
I'm currently collecting: end goal is to own a complete collection of mutant titles. I'm currently missing half of Generation X, a few random issues here and there, and Uncanny X-Men 144 and below. I do talk about the act of collecting from time to time, as I've spent a good 30 years working on mine.
Other fandoms I totally dig and read from: From Eroica with Love, Samurai Champloo, Tiger & Bunny, the Wallflower Series by Lisa Kleypas, the Bedwyn Saga by Mary Balogh, Young Avengers, Overwatch (McCree/Hanzo), The Professionals, Gundam Wing (2x5), Dragon Age, My Hero Academia, Yona of the Dawn and Run with the Wind.
TV shows I watch: Roswell New Mexico, Grey's Anatomy/Station 19, Leverage: Redemption, the Equalizer.
Movies I watch: pretty much all of them. I kid you not. I practically live at the movie theatre. I have no taste, and I can only think of three movies off the top of my head where I almost walked out (The Pelican Brief, Les Miserables, and Coneheads).
Other Fannish Interests
I cosplay, mostly anime fandoms, but Star Trek, too. I read manga and watch anime a lot, and I attend most of the big Canadian conventions (Anime North, Fan Expo, Otakuthon) and some of the smaller local ones.
Transformative Works Policy
Feel free to transform my works into podfics, art, translations, remixes, sequels, etc. I only ask that you link to the source and that whatever you produce remains non-commercial.
Friending Policy
I am super-shy (even online, ack), so while I'm pretty terrible at friending other people first, I'm excellent at friending people back!
