So my Marvel Bang is now over 20k ... which is good? I think. I'm thinking it'll end up between 45k-50k. I'm really struggling with a back-to-back scene, and I am NOT one of those people who can just move on. I write extremely sequentially. My goal for this weekend is another 10k, so I need to get past this by tomorrow. We'll see. I think I have almost rewritten what I need to?
The trailers made me think the plot was completely different than what it actually is, but I liked it! Not as much as the first one, but it was good. I especially like the use of weather in the final third of the movie, which is weird to say, but it really helped with the tension (which was high af, and I'm tense just thinking about it). Great supporting cast, and, as usual, Denzel just nails his role. Very lower turnout for my showing, tho. Just me and two pairs. Oh, and I bawled my face off during the wrap up scene, because of a very unexpected kind gesture in the film. I always like the little side plots/friendships/equalizing going on in the background with these movies.
San Diego Comic Con has come and gone. I really loved it the year I attended (2011, with
placidia). There was actually an X-Men panel, which the most exciting news for me was the cover to the 2nd issue of Shatterstar. SO BEAUTIFUL. SELL THESE AS PRINTS, MARVEL, PLEASE. Oh, and Uncanny X-Men is coming back, which yay. Being an X-Men fan doesn't feel right without Uncanny X-Men being published.
